» Federation Council Elections

Posted on Saturday July 30th, 2016 @ 2:43am by President Sean Nadeau in Shards Announcement

Conservative Party: 57%
Progressive Party: 22%
Liberty Party: 14%
Independents: 6%

The federation is gripping for the upcoming elections of the Federation Council and it's leadership, the new session of leaderships will determine the ultimate direction of the policies of the Nadeau take as this will be the first true test of Nadeau's power as President. Though it's traditional for the President to remain out of council politics, alot is on the line with regards to the encroachment by the Klingon Empire, the introduction of Bajor into the federation and a government that has a 21% approval rating for Nadeau.

Though his party was firmly in control of the council prior to his secession to the presidency, the Conservative Party has been met with a string of defeats in early primaries with many of their councilors losing their elections to a rising Progressive Party. If things remain the same, council leadership is expected remain the same, however if the numbers are any indication of primaries, with the help of Independent and a growing Liberty Party, we could see a change in the policies of the Federation that dates back to the Faust Administration.

We'll keep up posted with the latest information of these elections.

» E-mail and Saving System Fixed

We had a break in the system, but it has been fixed and we even did a little spring cleaning of the database, all very good things.

In short, you can tag and save posts now and your e-mails should be working fine. If not, but sure to let me know.

» Minions

Posted on Friday January 15th, 2016 @ 10:08am by President Sean Nadeau in Shards Announcement

Hello Shards!

As you will noticed, many of the positions on the site now have staff (minions) to assist in the story-lines to come. Shards is a specialty sim but the use of NPC's here is welcomed and as the GM, I can tell you we need alot more. In the coming days, I'll start converting existing NPC's to positions but i want your help, I want NPC's galore and I want you to tell me which once you want linked to your accounts.

Looking forward to interacting with the personalities you come up with.

Game Master

» Change of Command

Posted on Wednesday December 30th, 2015 @ 4:29am by Secretary Grace Whitney in Shards Announcement

As you've noticed, I decided to archive two of our OOC posts by putting them into private messages. I deleted both OOCs.

That is because Ieuan needs to step down as Gamemaster. His real life job is taking up more time that he would like and he now needs to get more qualifications for his job in order to advance, so he will be incredibly busy for the next two to three years.

He's been a great supporter of Theta Fleet and a great writer since the beginning and I for one will miss him.

Phil has accepted the position of Gamemaster.

» Ancillary Postions

Posted on Saturday December 5th, 2015 @ 2:03am by President Sean Nadeau in Out of Character

Evening Shards,

In a effort to create a wide-arching experience and provide additional realism to the simulation, additional positions will be created with the hope of those being filled by PC's or NPC's. I've received feed back from other who would like a role in the sub-plots for character development. These positions will help in that regard. I will start with cabinet positions as they can be expanded the most and then the Offices of the Federation Councilors and their staff. Message me with your thoughts, requests and ideas.
